The HOC had a surprise visitor this week. The Rev. David Kirk, the founder of the House of the Carpenter over 50 years ago, was visiting in the area. He decided to stop by and talk about how the project has grown and developed since its early days of a simple food pantry. The ministry has developed over 50 years and is looking forward to the years ahead. David is pictured with Executive Director Mike Linger beside the Memorial Tree for gifts to the Endowment for the House of the Carpenter. One of the leaves has David’s name engraved on it.
