The House of the Carpenter with help from the Wheeling Kiwanis, the J. B. Chambers Foundation and individual donations provided all of the students at Madison Elementary with the items necessary for them to begin the school year. Boxes of notebooks, crayons, pencils, paper, glue sticks and more were brought to the school and distributed to the teachers the week before school began. On the first day of school the teachers could be confident that the students had what they needed and were ready to begin the academic year. Through the thrift store, school supplies were also handed out to students who did not attend Madison Elementary. A great deal of time and effort went into making certain that our students were prepared to begin class. Our thanks to the people who donated to make this possible.
