Michelle L. Bennington-Lucarelli, MSW, LSW has been our Associate Director since 2013. Michelle is a lifelong resident of the Ohio Valley. She is a graduate of West Virginia University with a Master’s in Social Work and graduated from West Liberty with a Regent’s Bachelor of Liberal Arts. She is also a licensed social worker in the state of West Virginia. Michelle has worked in various social work positions from Adult Services for the State to a case manager for skilled and long term care facilities in WV and PA. She is also adjunct faculty for WVU.
As the Associate Director, Michelle oversees much of the programming for the House of the Carpenter, including ensuring that our food pantry is constantly stocked with fresh and canned foods, coordinating cooking classes for children, youth, and adults, our Christmas Kids program, literacy camp, and strings ministry. She also oversees some of our other ministries, including alcoholics anonymous and girl scouts.
Michelle has always had a heart for mission and ministry and believes that her work in social services, as well as, her connection with other agencies will be helpful in meeting the needs of those who come to the House of the Carpenter.
